Widespread rains in Chennai Metro City!

It rained heavily right from the early morning today (Saturday, 7th December) in Chennai Metro City.
The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre had earlier announced that there were prospects of rain in Tamil Nadu due to the development of a cyclonic format in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Meanwhile, it rained in the Chennai Metro City urban areas including Royappettah, Thiruvallikkeni, and Mylapore.
Further, it rained around midnight yesterday in Madurai.
