Charger - manufacturing plant to be set up in Chennai!

One of the global leaders in cell phones and computers, Apple, has commenced manufacture of its cell phone model iPhone X. R.
This information was shared by the Central Minister for Information Technology, Ravisankar Prasad.
He informed further :
‘Apple has commenced the manufacture of iPhone X. R. in India. These are manufactured both for the domestic demand as well as export. This development truly indicates the efforts/initiatives taken by the central government to increase the manufacture of cell phones in India.
Besides this, the manufacturer of the chargers exclusive for the Apple iPhones, Chalcaom, has just clinched the deal to manufacture its product in India.
Chalcaom is all set to commence its charger manufacturing unit in the Nokia manufacturing plant located near Chennai which has remained unused for the last 10 years. The charger manufacturing may start from next March here. For this charger manufacturing as well some other components, Rs. 2000 Crores are to be invested here in this plant over the next 5 years!
