P.B.Srinivas dies

Legendary playback singer P.B. Srinivas died in his home in Chennai on Sunday. He had a heart attack at 1 pm and was 82 years old. He is survived by his wife Janaki, a daughter and four sons.
Mr. Srinivas was born in Andhra Pradesh. He began singing professionally in the early 1950s. His last song was for the film �Aayirathil Oruvan� in 2010. He was popularly known as the voice behind Gemini Ganesan and Kannada actor Rajkumar.
People from different walks of life have condoled his death. Says a waiter at New Woodlands who served him for 30 years, �We didn`t treat him like a customer and he didn`t see us as waiters. He would bring us sweets and talk in Tamil , Telugu and Kannada.�
