First Century in Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, and Chennai Districts with Poonamalle getting 108 mm as North and West Chennai got pounding heavy rains. Chennai Lake areas get heavy rains too. Ramanathapuram district gets two centuries too.

ECR will wake up to rainy mornings. Same pattern to continue. Our time is mostly at nights and mornings. Occasional rains happen at the day as we can see clouds have circled around Chennai from the seaside, but it is morning lets see if the clouds can move in or will die in the sea itself.
Interiors and South TN will continue to rock with no major system in the Bay of Bengal and it is going to be South and Western TN day today till tomorrow.
With a small circulation in Gulf of Mannar moving inland Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Sivaganga, Pudukottai, Virudhnagar, Dindigul, Madurai, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Erode, Namakkal, and Trichy even delta belts will all feast today to tomorrow morning.
