Memory clinic launched by the popular Kauvery Hospital

Many elder people are getting affected by dementia these days and as a result of this issue their normal lives have become difficult. It is worthy to note that dementia is a type of brain disease that could lead to long term and gradual decrease in the ability to think and remember.
The news now is Kauvery Hospitals have launched a memory clinic so that both assessment as well as diagnosis of dementia could be provided. By this, support and information could be offered to those with memory issues and their caregivers. Every day, between 3 pm and 5 pm this memory clinic at Kauvery Hospitals would function.
It is brought out that on the second Wednesday of every month between 2 pm and 5 pm at this hospital a support group meeting with activities and memory screening for the dementia patients and their caregivers would take place.
It must be noted that many neurologists and psychiatrists spoke about issues like depression, dementia, memory and psychiatric disturbances etc on the occasion of the launching of this memory clinic. Senior consultant of Kauvery Hospital, Dr. Preethika Chary made her presence felt too. It must not be forgotten that Kauvery Hospital was launched in Chennai in the year 2011 and since then this hospital has been doing superbly.
