Today, in Chennai there might be mild rains

On Sunday, 29th September 2019, the city of Chennai experienced a dry day. It is now said that there might be some rains in Chennai today. This is due to the presence of clouds triggered by high temperature during the day time.
The sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy and the maximum temperatures and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius respectively. It must be noted that light to moderate rainfall would occur in few places belonging to south TN and a few isolated places in North TN and Puducherry.
It was later mentioned by popular Chennai based weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John that from tomorrow rain would start in TN and it would extend till the middle of the month of October. He also threw light on veppasalanam or convective rains. For the coming days` spell, places like Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur and Chennai region would get good rains. Point to be noted is there would be good spells of rains in places such as Madurai, Tuticorin and delta regions.
The mercury level hovered around 32 degree Celsius for the most part of the forenoon on Sunday. On Saturday, the mercury level touched 34 degree Celsius by noon. Information gathered is Nungambakkam recorded maximum temperature of 33.1 degrees and Meenambakkam recorded a maximum temperature of 32.4 degrees on Sunday.
The coming days would be pleasant with mild rains in the evening and this was as per an official belonging to the meteorological department. The official then spoke about how there might be rains in the night time but less in the day time. Till the onset of NE monsoon, this would continue. There would be few cyclones formed in the Bay of Bengal in the NE monsoon season. Point is there would be rains in the city of Chennai and in TN due to the El Nino effect.
