As expected yesterday the southerlies bringing morning rains to KTC (Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Chennai) just like how our monsoon rains. The winds from sea from southerly direction converge with the winds from land side. Because of the convex coast line, southerlies create the convergence to KTC zone often compared to other places.
Tomorrow and even on friday morning southerlies remain, we can once again see mornings rains. Rains will reduce in Chennai after tomorrow with pseudo easterlies in place with a building high pressure at Bay of Bengal, it gives some stray rains at max but ever benefits chennai with widespread rains.
The present rains now, the clouds have changes into stratiform and drizzles and light spells will continue, after a while that too will stop.
