Retest for students whose SSLC papers were lost

The students who’s SSLC English paper I answer sheets are
missing will get a reexamination, announced Vaigai Chelvan, Tamil Nadu’s School
Education Minister.
Speaking
in the Assembly, Mr. Vaigai Chelvan said that the retest will take place for those
221 students whose papers were lost in transit from the Sathyamangalam Post on
April 1st this year.
He also said that the postal employee Soundararajan who was in charge of
the papers has been suspended.
The
Minister said that the process of sending the papers by Post has been ‘in vogue
for decades’. The Government will come up with a more ‘modern’ method after
consultations with the Chief Minister, he said.
