The news that has come from the meteorological department is on Wednesday, 31st July 2019, Chennai city might have dry weather but the suburbs would get rains.
Information collected is there is likelihood of rains for couple of days by the end of the week or next week. Places such as Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur etc might have light to moderate rains but some parts of the core places are likely to get very light rains. Weather in the Chennai city has been good for the residents now.
It was predicted by the meteorological department that the sky is likely to be cloudy and light rains is likely to occur in some places. The maximum temperature would be around 35 degree Celsius and the minimum temperature would be around 27 degrees Celsius. In the last 2 days, Chennai city did not receive rains though the sky was cloudy. Point to be noted is the maximum temperature has started to come down.
It was mentioned by an official belonging to the meteorological department that the weather would be slightly hotter tomorrow as the cloud cover might not be complete. The day temperature was somewhat less and night rains due to convective action has stopped. It must be noted that on Tuesday, there were some clouds over the southern suburbs though it did not turn into rain later in the night. It is said that the clouds formed late in the evening are expected to bring some rain in the night if they do not dissipate in strong wind over the coast.
