Rains in Chennai Metro city throughout the night till early morning! Prospects today as well!

The public was greatly delighted with the downpour in the Chennai Metro City throughout the night!
There were mild to medium rains throughout the night in several places in the Chennai Metro City, It rained especially in Pallavaram, Anagaputhur, Tambara, Perungalathur, Vandalur, Saidapet, Sholinganallur, Perungudi, Thorappakkam, Guindy, Koyambedu, Meenambakkam, Ramapuram, Valasarawalkam, Porur, and Velacherry. The persistent rain throughout the night brought great cheers to the public!
There were widespread rains in other places in Tamil Nadu - Pudhukkottai, Kodaikanal, etc. As it rained heavily in Tirupathur, Pillayarpatti, and neighbourhood in the district of Sivagangai, the road were inundated with rainwater and were overflowing.
It rained heavily for more than an hour in Ooty.
There were mild rains in Vandavasi, Vengikkaal, Vettavalam, Keezhpennaathur, etc., in the district of Thiruvannamalai. The farmers were greatly relieved and delighted about the rains.
In a recent report released by the Meteorological Centre in this regard, it has informed that with the cyclonic format developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere due to the convective rain phenomenon persisting at the same spot, there are prospects of more mild rains in the next 2 days in several places in Tamil Nadu.
