Permission to be granted soon for all the shops and companies/organisations to function 24 hours a day!

The state government of Tamil Nadu is all set to release an order permitting all the shops and the various factories/institutions/organisations to function 24-hours-a-day shortly!
The central government ratified the Model Act for shops and organisations in the year 2016.
According to the above Act, cinema theatres, food shops/hotels/restaurants, shops, banks and other organisations will be allowed to function 24-hours-a-day.
The central government has notified that this Act can be modified as per the local requirements and implemented.
The very 1st state to allow the 24-hours functioning of shops and organisation was Maharashtra in the year 2018. Maharashtra state government extended the validity of this Act for another 3 years.
In this scenario, the state government of Tamil Nadu has also accepted the recommendations of the labour commissioner and the Chief Secretary of the government for this.
The State Government of Tamil Nadu has accepted to release the permission with some conditions such as the required high-security level must be provided for the female employees. The workers must be given a 1-day off on a rotation basis. The overtime allowed for them should not exceed 10.5 hours. Their weekly total working hours must exceed 57 hours.
Female employees must not be allowed to work after 8.00 PM. The owner can employ female workers to function from 8.00 PM to 6.00 AM the next day only after written approval from the state government. In such cases, the required security must be provided.
It is gathered that the state government will be releasing an official Government Order on this shortly.
