MLAs thrash cop in Assembly

A Mumbai police officer Sachin Suryavanshi was thrashed by MLAs at the Maharashtra Assembly on Tuesday. Mr. Suryavanshi, an Assistant Police Inspector, was called to the Assembly to explain why he stopped Kshitij Thakur on the Mumbai’s Bandra-Worli sealink. Mr. Thakur is a sitting MLA from the Bahujan Vikas Aghadi.
The MLA was stopped for speeding, but claimed that the officer breached privilege and abused him. Hearing this, several MLA’s ran up to the Inspector who was sitting in the gallery and started beating him. The MLA’s could be arrested for their actions.
