TISS uses �Silk� as a case study

Silk portrayed by Bollywood actress Vidya Balan in the film �The Dirty Picture� is now a case study at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. According to the officials at the Institute the character had shades that would make an excellent psychological and sociological study. �Though her character raised many eyebrows, everyone was awed by the way she carried it off�, said one official.
The actress is ecstatic about her performance being studied by the academia. �The Dirty Picture will always be amongst the films I`m extremely proud of. I found it liberating to play Silk, a woman who was unapologetic about her sexuality and the choices she makes�, she said.
