Policemen in Punjab beat up woman

In shocking news, Punjab policemen from Tarn Taran have beaten up a woman in public after she and her relatives complained to them about sexual harassment.
The woman who was being harassed by truck drivers was accompanied by her father and brother. When they confronted the drivers, policemen who arrived at the spot intervened and questioned them .They then went on to beat up the woman, her father and brother.
‘This barbaric incident took place when the girl went to the police for help, it is their duty to ensure that a judicial probe looks into the matter. The state home minister must also resign’, said National Commission for Women Chairperson Mamta Sharma.
This incident comes in the wake of other dastardly acts against women across the country.
