Rosaiah meets 19 Vice Chancellors

Tamil Nadu Governor K. Rosaiah met with Vice-Chancellors of 19 State universities on Monday at Raj Bhavan. During the meeting, he urged them to start using video conferencing facilities to be able to reach students more efficiently.
He also stressed on the safety of women (staff and students) on campus and outside. He requested them to follow the recommendations of the UGC (University Grants Commission) in this regard.
He also requested the VCs of Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Tamil Nadu teacher Education University, Tamil Nadu Open University and Thiruvalluvar University to obtain UGC’s 12 B status which will enable them to receive assistance from the Commission.
