Jewel Expo inaugurated in the city

The 105th ZAK Jewels Expo was inaugurated in Chennai on Friday. The Expo showcases gold, diamond and other precious jewellery.
The annual event will give a free diamond ring or pendant to every 500th customer who visits the venue. Syed Zakir Ahmed, Managing Director, ZAK Trade Fairs and Exhibitions addressed the media during the inauguration. �Gold and diamonds will never lose their sheen in the Indian market. As Indians, we�re extremely fond of buying jewellery be it in the form of yellow metal, precious stones or diamonds. "This is the precise reason why India is one of the world`s largest consumers of gold�, Mr. Ahmed said.
