Prospects of heavy rain in coastal districts

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of increased and heavier rain in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The officials of the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained in this regard there is a depression zone with a cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Sri Lankan coastal area and central-east part of the Bay of Bengal.
Because of this, there are prospects of medium rain in 1 or 2 places for the next 2 days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. There are prospects of more intense rain on the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu on 30th and 31st October.
The Chennai Metro City will remain generally cloudy. However, there are no prospects of rain in the next 2 days.
