No monsoon before the weekend though rains would be present in Chennai

In the next few days, rains and thunderstorms would keep some parts of Chennai cooler and the temperature would not go beyond 33 degree Celsius. It is known that on Wednesday there was a sudden spell of rain and the rain was not able to bring down the mercury. According to the officials belonging to the meteorological department it is clear that dip in the temperature would take place only when the northeast monsoon sets in and the northeast monsoon would set by 20th October.

As per the RMC Chennai it is revealed that the conditions are favourable for the withdrawal of southwest monsoons from remaining parts of Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. On Wednesday afternoon the city of Chennai received 1.7cm of rain. The RMC official explained how the recent spell of rains was triggered by the clouds and this was due to convective action. This convective action causes the warm air to rise to the skies due to high surface temperature is known.

A temperature of 34 degree Celsius was recorded on Monday and on Tuesday the temperature recorded was 33 degree Celsius. The day was kept sultry by the high levels of humidity. In the last 3 days the nights were also warm with temperature remaining around 27 degree Celsius.
