Chennai rain update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

Chennai will get rains on Monday after which there will be break in rains in the City. While Ghats in Nilgiris, Nellai, Kovai and Kodaikanal belt will see good rains. Other interiors will join too. Rains to reduce drastically from 10th October across state

8th October - Chennai ideally placed for rains

Perfect convergence mix of dry and moist winds over North TN. When ever i have seen this pattern (see pic enclosed), i have seen it giving good rains. Coastal Regions including Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Cuddalore to Delta regions of Karaikkal, Nagai and Tiruvarur will see rains tomorrow and after tomorrow, Chennai will be dry / see isolated rains from Tuesday from this spell.
Interiors such as virushungar, madurai,sivaganga, trichy, salem and nearby districts too will see good rains.
Heavy rains - Hilly regions in Nilgiris, Nellai, Kovai and Kodaikanal, Theni and Kanyakumari belt will see good rains and some places might see heavy rains too with convergence later in the day. Keep an eye on nilgiris belt tomorrow.
Kerala - Kerala too will see heavy rains around idukki belt, Wayand, Thrissur and other districts close to mountains
On 9th October - South TN show

with Low expected to intensify and move towards Odisha Coast, the winds strengthen over South TN with Kanyakumari, Nellai, Ramanahtapuram, Thoothukudi and Delta region of Tiruvarur and Nagai in line of rains
From 10th October rains to reduce drastically in the state with one system going to Oman in Arabian sea and the next one in Bay of Bengal going to Odisha. So winds wont be favorable for our state expected some rains in isolated places, it will be break phase for rains.
