Rebels killed after surrendering, say eye witnesses

Eyewitnesses have claimed that the Sri Lankan army killed two surrendered rebels of the LTTE after they raised the white flag.
According to the two witnesses, Pulidevan and Nadesan, two senior LTTE rebels, sent out satellite messages to the Sri Lankan Army, the Government, journalists, diplomats and peace mediators stating that they were surrendering after the Army had assured them of proection after they raised the white flag.
However, the two have been reported to be killed by Army troops in 2009 in the Sri Lankan defence ministry’s website.
