The Puducherry Chief Minister Mr. N. Rangaswamy has thanked Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. J. Jayalalithaa for her effort to secure the Cauvery Tribunal Dispute Award. According to the award, Tamil Nadu will give Puducherry 7 tmc feet of the water it receives from Karnataka.
At a rally, Mr. Rangaswamy said, ‘I am grateful to the Centre and also to the Chief Minister Jayalalithaa as the notification would ensure availability of seven TMC feet of Cauvery water for the Union Territory of Puducherry which is among the riparian states covered by the award.’
