Good reviews for new food outlets

Posted on: 21/Feb/2013 2:55:21 PM
The 15 low cost food outlets that were inaugurated in the city on Tuesday have been given good reviews. Many patrons have said that the food is tasty and the portions are reasonable. One plate of idli costs Re. 1, curd rice Rs. 3 and sambar rice Rs. 5.

However, many are worried that the quality may be not consistent over time. According to one of the visitors, ‘I know I must not complain and that these things take time to fall in place. The government can even take one or two rupees extra. But let them serve the curd rice with pickle and the sambar rice with appalams.’

Another person who ate at one of the outlets said, ‘(The government) must ensure that this rice and other raw materials are not looted and pilfered by State government staff. That’s what has happened with ration shops.’
