Factories stop production due to strike

The management of Maruti Suzuki and Hero Motocorp declared Thursday a holiday after their workers decided to join the 2-day nationwide strike.
About 1,000 companies in and around Gurgaon stopped production as workers informed the managements of their decision.‘We have given a notice to management of both Gurgaon and Maneser plants of MSIL to shut down operations on Thursday and we have been told by the officials that they have granted official leave on Thursday’, said Mr. Kuldeep Jangu, General Secretary, Maruti Udyog Kamgar Union.
