2-day Trade Union strike begins

The 2-day Trade Union strike started today across the country. Trade Unions of all sorts will participate from Tamil Nadu as well.
However, the Government has taken steps to make sure that essential commodities – milk, drinking water, food, medicines – are available to the public. Strict action will be taken against anyone or any organization that prevents the availability of these commodities.
The State Transport Corporation will ply their 8 buses on both the days. Trains will also run on the days. All trains from and to Chennai’s Central and egmore stations will run as per schedule under police protection.
