Twin train delays

The Mysore-bound Cauvery Express, which departed from Chennai Central, was delayed by 2 hours when it stopped suddenly near Thiruvallur on Saturday night. The technicians and driver on board could not fix it and had to ask for a replacement engine which arrived from Arakonam.
In a similar incident, the Mannarkudi Express which departed from Chennai’s Egmore Station would not start after it stopped at Tambaram. However, the problem was fixed and resulted in a 45-minute delay.
