Cauvery water reaches Tamil Nadu

Water released from the Krishna Raja Sagar dam near Mysore 5 days ago reached Biligundulu in Tamil Nadu on Thursday. The water was released to give water to parched samba crops.
Biligundulu is in Dharmapuri district where the famous Hogenakkal Falls are situated. Cauvery water will flow to Mettur dam near Salem in the next few days.
