Purchase of VVIP Helicopters to be investigated

The arrest of Mr. Guiseppe Orsi, CEO of Finmeccanica, has brought to light another scam. Finmeccanica’s subsidiary AgustaWestland has supplied VVIP helicopters to India with a kickback included.
A CBI enquiry has been initiated to investigate the Rs. 3,700 crore deal to purchase 12 high-security VVIP helicopters from the Anglo-Italian company by the Defence Ministry.
