People around the world celebrate valentine’s day today. This much anticipated celebration signifies love for one another, whether it be your special friend, parent, spouse or best friend.
But do we all know what the origin of Valentine’s Day is? The most popular story goes:
St. Valentinus was imprisoned for performing weddings that were forbidden – that of soldiers or those anointed into the church as a minister. He was prosecuted by the Holy Roman Empire and that became a martyr.
