Kalam calls for reforms in education, women in parliament

Former President of India, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam said that there was a need for reforms in primary education by included creative class, a creative environment and a creative teacher. He was in Chennai to inaugurate the ‘ThinkEdu Conclave’ on Thursday.

Dr. Kalam also stressed on the need for women to be part of the law making process in the country.  He said, ‘They (women) should make law and be partner in law making. This is the most crying need today, At a time there was a breakthrough in gender barriers, women dominated boys in many colleges, including in medical colleges. Where we have problem is in Parliament.’
