Sri Lankan Navy beats fishermen

After a break in incidents involving the Sri Lankan Navy and fishermen from Tamil Nadu, a group of fishermen were treated as outpatients in Rameswaram after being allegedly beaten with sticks by the Sri Lankan Navy.
According to the fishermen, they were surrounded by Navy boats and beaten. Their cell phones and GPS equipment was confiscated and the fishing nets torn.
