Prospects of rain with thunder in Tamil Nadu

The officials of the Chennai Meteorological Centre that there are strong prospects of rain with thunder in the next few days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry due to the formation of the phenomenon known as thermal convection.
The Chennai Metro City will remain generally cloudy. Thunder clouds may form during the evening or the night sessions leading to light rain in a few places.
Strong winds have been blowing across in the coastal regions of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. A new low-pressure zone has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal. Because of this, the deep sea areas might be stormy and turbulent. So, the fishermen have been strictly warned not to venture into the deep sea areas.
