The Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam Board (TTD) has withdrawn the proposal to keep the temple closed for a period of 9 days during the occasion when Maha Samprokshanam is to be performed in August.

Maha Samprokshanam is scheduled to be performed in the hugely popular Tirupathi temple located in Tirumalai, Andhra State from 11th August to 16th August. In case, a decision is taken to allow Darshan for the devotees, only 30 hours can be allotted for the Darshan of the devotees during the period of Maha Samprokshanam from 11th August to 16th August for 6 days,

With this limited possible duration, only 15000 devotees can be allowed for Darshan daily during this period.
