Committee to review Cinematography Act

The Centre has instituted an 8-member committee to review the Cinematography Act. This step is a result of the ‘Vishwaroopam’ ban in spite of the film’s passing through the censors.
The committee which is headed by Mr. Mukul Mudgal, former Chief Justice of Delhi High Court includes former chairperson of CBFC, Ms. Sharmila Tagore and MP and lyricist Mr. Javed Akhtar.
