Darshans cancelled at Tirupati temple from 9th August to 17th August

It has been announced that there will be no Darshan allowed from 9th August to 17th August due to the scheduled Kumbhabhishekham.
The temple Kumbhabhishekham is performed traditionally in Tirupati temple once in 12 years. As such. Kumbhabhishekham is to be performed this year. So, the required ‘Angarppana Pooja’ is scheduled to be performed on 11th August. Subsequently, Kumbhabhishekham will be performed from 12th August 16th August. This was announced by the President of the Endowment Trust Board Sudhakar Yadav.
As per the above schedule, there will be no devotees allowed from 5.00 AM on 9th August to 6.00 AM on 17th August. He further informed that the Tirumala-Tirupati trips will be cancelled and the path to visit the temple by foot will also be closed.
