Policemen on night duty can report later

Chennai city Police Commissioner, S. George has passed an order stating that inspectors on night duty need to report for work only at 2pm the next day and not 10am as is practiced till now.
The order comes in the wake of a tiff between the Deputy Commissioner of Triplicane and two inspectors. The inspectors, who were on duty the previous night, did not turn up on time. As a result, they were given desk jobs and their jeeps were taken away.
