CBFC wants apology

Posted on: 05/Feb/2013 3:24:44 PM
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has demanded an apology from Mr. A. Navaneethakrishnan, Advocate General of Tamil Nadu for calling the passing of film Vishwaroopam scam. He responded, I had told the judge that I might be right or wrong, but I had a strong doubt that a scam was on in the film certification process. My legal submission was that the certification was done on the basis of excessive delegation of powers by the CBFC in favour of an examining committee comprising advisory panel members of the Board.

The CBFC which is based in Mumbai said that they were within the frame of the constitution of the country when clearing the film after censors.
