NEET to be conducted twice a year

The central minister Prakash Javadekar has informed that the NEET - National-Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test for medical courses and JEE - Joint Entrance Examination for engineering courses will be held twice a year.
The minister informed that the JEE (main) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducted twice in a year in January and April. The other computer-based examination NEET will now be conducted twice a year in February and May.
NAT also conducts the other examinations JEE, UGC NET, and CMAT
The minister added that no changes have been made in the syllabus or the examination procedures.
Presently, CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) conducts both NEET and JEE.
