New rules to prevent fakes in medical course admission

The Medical Council of India has changed the rules and regulations for admission to MBBS & BDS courses to prevent presentation of fake documents/certificates regarding residential proof, qualifications, etc.
During the counselling conducted in 2017 for medical courses, there was a complaint that 9 candidates had presented fake residential proofs. Because of this, as a precautionary measure, the Medical Council of India has carried out certain changes in the admissions for this for the medical courses.
The students/candidates who are participating under the quota system must belong to the state of Tamil Nadu. The students/candidates from other states cannot claim belonging to the state of Tamil Nadu.
The candidates who had registered other states as their native states in the application for NEET cannot claim any rights for admission under the Tamil Nadu quota.
The students/candidates who had studied in Tamil Nadu from 6th Standard to +2 need not submit any residential proof. However, in case of the students/candidates who had studied from 6th Standard to +2 in other states, they must submit the residential proof.
In order to inform the fact that the parents of the students/candidates belong to the state of Tamil Nadu, the copies of their birth certificate or 10th standard certificate, or diploma/degree certificate or family ration card.
The candidates who had not submitted the proper proofs as above will be considered only in the open quota and not under the reservation quota.
Even in cases where the students/ candidates belonging to other states had studied from 6th Standard to +2 in Tamil Nadu, and also mentioned Tamil Nadu as their native state in NEET application, they will still be considered only under open quota.
In case it is established that the student/candidate has joined the course by submitting fake certificates, they will be suspended immediately. Further, immediate legal action will be taken on them and their parents.
