The director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, S. Balachandran, has informed that there are prospects of heavy rain in the districts of Kovai, Nilgiri, Nellai, Theni, and Dindigul.
There are strong prospects of rain in the above 5 districts adjacent to the Western Ghat. As the southwest monsoon seasonal wind is quite strong, there prospects of heavy rain in a few places in the mountainous areas adjacent to the state of Kerala. Further, there are prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu.
The Chennai Metro city will remain cloudy. The wind blowing from the land areas will be quite strong. The maximum temperature would be 37 Degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 29 Degrees Celsius.
