Tamil Nadu engineering admissions must be made fully online says many parents

It is well known that in this year for the very first time, single window counselling for TNEA or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions went online in the state of TN. This TNEA admission process has been using both online as well as offline methods now and this was unlike other streamlined online process for admission. The students now feel that this is not very convenient.
To make the students and parents feel comfortable and avoid unnecessary travelling, the state of TN decided to go online this year regarding engineering admissions is known. However this does not mean that there is no necessity for the students to come in person for the engineering admissions. It must be noted that it is compulsory for the candidates to attend in person for the ongoing original certificate verification process.
According to Anna University officials in the Chennai TFC based in the university campus, per day atleast 2500 students are expected for their certificates verification. As a result of this huge crowds were seen in the Anna University campus.
A parent of an applicant spoke his heart out regarding this. He spoke about how if this certification verification process was made online then it would have been much better for him plus for other parents. He later spoke about the crowds present due to offline verification procedure that is being used now. He then highlighted that he had to travel long distances for this offline certificate verification process. The same opinion was shared by others also who have accompanied the candidates for the certificate verification.
From 8th June to 14th June 2018, original certificate verification process has been going on across all TNEA facilitation centres in TN and till 17thJune 2018, this certificate verification process would take place in Chennai centre. Beginning from 9am in the morning till 6pm in the evening, the certificate verification process is being carried out in batches and as many as 250 students are present in each batch. Various original certificates such as 10th mark sheets, 12th mark sheets plus others like transfer certificates, community certificates, income certificates, sports certificates are being verified in this certificate verification process.
