Chennai based P. Girinath expressed his thoughts about his performance in the JEE (Advanced) and spoke about how he was not sure about getting into top 100 rank. The release of answer keys gave him enough confidence that he would come inside top 100.

This Girinath got coaching from the popular FIIT-JEE and it was after 9th standard only he was able to devote more time for the entrance examination though he started his coaching for IIT JEE as early as in 7th class itself. Now he wants to pursue electrical engineering or mechanical engineering at the very famous IIT Madras. He threw light on the fact that the numerical section of the JEE exam was very tough as it had a new format in this year. A student named R. Raghu Raman got 284 out of 360 marks in the JEE and has secured All India 56th rank now and he wants to join IIT Bombay or IIT Madras for his studies.

Senior manager (Academic Operations) of FIIT JEE spoke about how the numerical section this year was different with new pattern and that was the reason why students got low marks. He was happy that as many as 5 students belonging to TN have done well to get into top 100 ranks whereas just 2 students could get into top 100 ranks in the last year.
