Prospects of joining medical courses under the government quota for 400 marks in NEET

Information is gathered that there are prospects of the students who secured more than 400 marks or above getting admission for pursuing medical courses under the government quota.
There are 3050 seats available for MBBS course in the 23 government medical colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu. out of this, 15% is reserved for the All India Quota. The balance 2594 seats will be filled based on the NEET performance through general counselling.
783 seats available in a total of 10 private medical colleges in the state will be filled through counselling sessions. In this situation, NEET results were announced on 4th. 714289 candidates have qualified at All India Level for admission to the medical courses. Out of this, 45336 candidates are from the state of Tamil Nadu/
The total marks in NEET are 720. The cut-off marks for qualifying for admission was reduced this year as compared to the last year. For the open community or the general cadre, the cut-off marks were reduced from 131 to 119. For the other cadre under quota (SC, ST, OBC), the cut-off marks were reduced from 107 to 95.
As the cut-off marks were reduced, more candidates have qualified for admission to the medical courses as compared to the previous year. Last year, 32368 candidates had qualified. This year, it has increased to 45336.
With this development, the students have been calculating the marks required in NEET which would qualify them through the government quota for admission to the medical courses, especially, MBBS.
Last year, for the open community or the general cadre candidates to join in the government medical colleges, the minimum cut-off mark was 374 and the maximum cut-off mark was 590. In the BC (backward community cadre), the candidates who scored the cut-off marks between 395 and 575 qualified for admission. In the MBC (Most Backward Community) cadre, the cut-off mark range was 235 to 577 for admission and for the SC cadre (Scheduled Caste), it was between 191 and 573. For the ST (Scheduled Tribe) cadre, it was between 171 and 502.
The application forms for admission to medical courses are scheduled to be distributed from 11th June, The medical admission selection committee has planned to commence the counselling sessions from 1st July. In this scenario, the news has come out regarding the approximate cut-off marks required to get admission to the medical courses in government and private medical colleges through the government quota. According to this news, the cut-off marks for admissions under All India quota (15%) might be up to 560.
There are prospects for the candidates in the general or open community cadre who have scored over 400 marks and the BC candidates who have scored over 320 marks to get the admission.
The cut-off marks for admission in the private medical colleges under the government quota may be 310 and above for the general or open community cadre and 290 for the backward community cadre.
On a total look-out, it is expected that the cut-off marks for the SC/ST cadre might be from 145 to 150.
