Anna University rules for certificate verification in engineering admissions

The recent update from the Anna University issued the norms and clarifications about the certificate verification process in Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA). The set of rules should be followed for the right documentation after the final phases of engineering counselling.
If a candidate is unable to attend the certification process on the allocated date and time for TNEA verification then the student can send his or her authorized relatives to attend the verification. Else he or she can opt to attend the nearest TNEA facilitation center going to be held on June 14 at 1.30 P.M and Anna University, Chennai TFC on June 17, 1.30 P.M.
The candidates must give an authorization letter to the verified relative attesting to their involvement in the verification process of the engineering college admissions. The candidate’s photo should be affixed in the letter and then during the original verification the parents or verified relative will provide the photo IDs such as driving license, PAN card, Passport, Voter ID and Aadhaar Card.
The rules also added that certificate verification process for eminent sportspersons will be done only at Anna University, Chennai campus TFC starting from 8th June to 17th June, 2018.
Candidates will have to be present at the designated TFC premises one hour before their particular scheduled verification time. The print out of the application form with the photo affixed should be provided along with other original identification documents and the photocopies of the certificated mentioned earlier in the application form. After the official verification process is done for a student, they should go forward to collect the information about the colleges.
The norms gave a clear clarification about the candidate who were already admitted or carrying on a course in any institutions. If the particular candidate had submitted all the certificates in an institution then a bonafide letter from the head of the particular campus should be brought for the submission. Photocopies of the requested certificates with the attestation of the head of the institution must be produced in the scheduled verification time.
