Certificate verification for engineering counselling from tomorrow

The counselling for admission to the 500 engineering colleges (B.E. and B.Tech. courses) functioning under Anna University is scheduled to be conducted during July for a week. Until last year, the counselling sessions adopted a single-window system. This year, for the 1st time, online counselling system is being introduced.
The applications for the above counselling were received from 3rd April to 2nd May. A total of 1.59 Lakhs candidates have applied. The rank or merit list is prepared on the random number allotted to the candidates. The random numbers for the candidates were released day-before-yesterday (5th June). The random number was sent to all candidates through SMS as well as e-mail to all the candidates.
In this situation, the activity of certificate/document verification is scheduled from tomorrow (Friday, 8th June). Anna University has set up 42 assistance centre for this, The students or their parents need to visit these centres and show the original documents/certificates for verification. SMS and e-mails are being sent to individual candidates conveying the time and date and the location of the assistance centre for the visit.
The candidates can visit the website of Tamil Nadu Student Admission Council and know the status/details of the certificate/document verification by registering their user code. The students who could not visit the assistance centres on the specified date can directly visit the Chennai Anna University Assistance Centre and complete the activity of certificate/document verification before 17th June.
