Poor students can apply for free education scheme

Chennai University has announced that the poor students can apply to pursue free education under the free education scheme.
Students belonging to the economically backward groups from the districts of Chennai, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvallur without any support, students whose parents are farmers or small-scale workers, students who aspire to be the 1st graduates in their generation, widows, and the children of the destitute married women deserted by their husbands will all be accorded priority to join this free education scheme. The family annual income of the applying student must not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs.
The application forms and the other details about the scheme for this can be obtained from the Public Relations Office of the university.
The application and other related details can also be downloaded from the website – www.unom.ac.in.
The filled applications, attached with all the requisite copies of proof and certificates must be submitted in the office of the Registrar of Chennai University within 15 days after the release of the +2 public examination results.
