Film Artist Protested against Service Tax Yesterday

Due to pushing of service tax on the head of Film Industry the well known faces of Tamil film industries like leading Actors, Actresses, Directors engaged one day fasting near Valluvar Kottam in chennai. The Police Officials had a tough circumstance to control the fans crowd near the protesting area as Rajini Kanth,Surya,Vijay, Prabhu were Participated in the protest.
The protesters claimed that the 12.36% service tax levied by the Centre on film and TV personalities` earnings on programmes and endorsements would be an additional burden on them as they were already paying income tax.
Shooting which to be held on yesterday have been remains postponed due to the protest.
