CBSE: NEET to be conducted on 6th May

CBSE (The Central Board of Secondary Education) has announced the details regarding NEET (National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test) for admission to medical courses. NEET will be conducted on 6th May (Sunday).

Students who have passed +2 public examinations are eligible to write NEET.

The facility to apply online for writing NEET commenced yesterday (Thursday, 8th February). The applications can be made online only. The website: www.cbseneet.nic.in.

Applications online for writing NEET can be submitted from 8th February to 9th March. While applying, details of the name of the applicant, father’s name, the correct address, and Aadhar card number must be furnished clearly.

The application fee has been fixed at Rs. 1400 for the open community and OBC cadre and at Rs. 750 for SC/ST cadre. This can be made through credit card/debit card or net-banking. The last date for payment of fees: 10th March 2018 (till 11.50 PM).

NEET will be of 1-day duration and will be conducted on 6th May from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM for a duration of 3 hours.

Objective questions will be asked in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. Each objective question will have 4 possible answers - only one will be correct. There will be 180 objective type of questions.

The hall-tickets to write NEET will be issued online to the qualifying candidates from the applications received. They need to download the same.

Please note that the private candidates with a pass in +2 are not eligible to apply for NEET.
