The National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test (NEET) for admission to MBBS and BDS medical courses for this year is scheduled to be conducted in May. The official announcement regarding this is shortly to be released by the CBSE (The Central Board of Secondary Education) which conducts NEET.

The central ministry of Ayush had already announced that the admissions for Indian Medical courses such as Ayurveda, Yoga, Nature cure, Siddha, Homeopathy will be through NEET from this year.

Accordingly, the admissions for the Ayush courses will be done through NEET this year. While organizing this, it has announced that there will be no separate NEET for Ayush courses. The students aspiring to join Ayush medical courses will have to apply for the same NEET as applied by the candidates writing for admission to MBBS and BDS medical courses.

Based on the marks obtained in NEET, the candidates can apply separately for MBBS or BDS or Ayush medical courses.

As the students followed the application based on marks obtained in +2 examinations, they have to apply in a similar way based on the marks obtained in NEET.

The syllabus that was adopted for the last year’s NEET will be again adopted for this year’s NEET as well.

Just as was done last year, NEET will be conducted in 10 languages of Tamil, English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarathi, Marathi, Odisha, Assam, and Bengali.

If required, NEET may be conducted in additional languages as well.

The NEET question papers will be identical in all languages. The CBSE officials explained that there has been a delay in making this announcement as NEET is made compulsory to join Ayush medical courses also.
