Chennai rain update - Night rains are going to continue

As usual, i came to Vellore and Chennai was trashed. It was pure excitement to see the slow moving storm which converged exactly over Chennai. Many witnessed the fury of intense rains. At one point close to 100 mm fell in a hour in many places in North Chennai. You can see the rainfall in accumulation in Radar ending 8.30 am (03 UTC) on 01.10.2017. Our core City of Chennai too got heavy rains with Nungambakkam recording 49 mm. Tonight too late night rains are possible in the North TN belt including Chennai. Here is the Rainfall in and around Chennai region in mm ending 8.30 am on 01.10.2017. More importantly the lake areas got good rainfall.
