Prospects of heavy rains for the next few days in Tamil Nadu

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that due to the recent formation of a depression zone, there are prospects of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in the next few days.
The low-pressure zone is spread from Telangana to Kanyakumari in the upper layers of the atmosphere. Due to this, the Southwest Monsoon rainy season to intensify over the next few days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
An official from the Chennai Meteorological Centre explained that due to the depression zone spread across Telangana and Kanyakumari, there are strong prospects of widespread heavy rains over the next few days in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, There may be heavy rains in a few places.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy. It may rain with thunder in a few places in the evening or night.
